Emission Management

Module for Tank OBD

The tank leakage module (TLM) developed by Thomas integrates an air pump and a valve in a single unit. It is capable of generating both positive and negative pressure. With the help of an integrated sensor as an optional extra, it can thus assess the change in pressure within the tank. In vehicles, it reliably detects possible leaks in the tank at an early stage and documents them accordingly.

Unlike passive systems, the TLM precisely measures the target pressure independently of external factors and enables exact presetting. In addition, it delivers around ten times the delivery rate of conventional active systems with rotary-vane pumps. It generates the desired positive or negative pressure even in the event of a major leak. Big plus: The module is already capable of meeting the more extensive requirements anticipated with regard to Euro 7.
